Sensor conference

When: April 22nd through April 24th (inclusive)

Sensor engineering concerns manipulations of our sensations by technological, pharmacological, and psychological interventions. The DFG-AHRC-project SENSOR aims to understand sensory engineering and reflect on it from the perspective of ethics, epistemology, and philosophy of perception.

The conference will explore these topics in detail, with many talks focusing on VR, AR, sensory substitution, and psychedelics, among other varieties of sensory engineering.

One of the aims of the conference is to create opportunities for interdisciplinary discussion and collaboration among philosophy and the cognitive sciences on the topic of sensory engineering.
