In 2017, the 500th anniversary of the Reformation will be celebrated. This provides an opportunity for curators, museologists, (art) historians and theologians to comparatively analyse the different exhibitions. A Museology Workshop is addressed to young scholars with intended careers as curators, (art) historians and theologians, who would like to work on the propagation and transfer of scholarly knowledge.

From May 20th to June 3rd the Bavarian America Academy together with Florida International University and FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg presents the 9th International Summer Academy "Questions of the Archive".

Interested students can apply for an Erasmus Mundus scholarship in the Master's Programme EMLex until February 28th. This Master offers a professional training for online and print lexicography with an integrated semester abroad and an internship lasting several weeks. The teaching languages are German and English.

The Department of Islamic-Religious Studies (DIRS) of FAU is one of five German centers for Islamic theology. Due to the positive interim evaluation, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research is now supporting the Erlangen facility for another five years.

The International Consortium for Research in the Humanities "Fate, Freedom and Prognostication” (IKGF) obtains a second funding period after successful evaluation and dedicated scientific work in an international context in the past years.
