In a competitive selection process, Dr. Sandra Dinter has been admitted as a fellow to the promotion programme “the Young ZiF”. She works at the Chair of English Studies: Literature and Culture and the programme, which aims at supporting postdoc students, will be granting her financial support for four years.

For their PhD research on technological, economical or societal aspects of digitalization, Marco Blank and Mathias Harrer are receiving grants from a Bavarian programme for PhD students.

Researchers of the FAU, the Johannes-Gutenberg-Universität Mainz and the Stiftung Lesen have launched a research network with the goal of examining reading from a multitude of interdisciplinary perspectives. The so-called “Netzwerk Leseforschung” connects researchers from seven countries.
